PGA Professional Darryl Jack is an exceptional instructor who shares a lifetime of golf experience with his students. He has more than 25 years of success teaching players of all ages and ability levels and is passionate about the game of golf.
Jack began playing golf as a teenager living in Puerto Rico, where he spent every daylight hour practicing and playing. A top junior golfer, he learned the game from one of Puerto Rico’s finest players, Carl James. Throughout his teens, Jack had frequent interaction with Chi Chi Rodriguez and began to study the swings of Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tom Watson, and many other champions both past and present.
Majoring in education/psychology with a concentration in early childhood development, Jack played two years of collegiate golf while earning both a bachelor’s degree and New York State Teaching Certification.
Jack caddied on the LPGA Tour in 1982-83, turned professional in 1984, became Wykagyl Country Club’s teaching/playing professional in 1987 and secured PGA Membership in 1990. He has served as the Director of Instruction & Lead Master Instructor at the Jim McLean Golf Schools; General Manager / Director of Golf at Osprey Cove in Georgia; Head Professional at Wiltwyck Country Club and Woodstock Golf Club in New York; swing coach for Columbia University & NYU. In addition Jack makes regular appearances on Revolution Golf, and was a featured instructor on The Golf Channel’s - Golf Academy Live.
Competitively, Jack has four professional tournament victories spanning three decades, including the 2008 Northeastern New York PGA Section Match Play Championship. His low tournament round is 66, low round is 63, and he holds two course records.
